I'm a huge believer in vision.
Leaders need a compelling picture of where they're going.
But there's another side of leadership we sometimes overlook:
You need an equally clear picture of where you are.
Think about creating a roadmap.
You need two points:
CURRENT REALITY → DESIRED FUTURE
Without the first, the second is simply aspiration.
And the distance between those two points is what I call a Strategic Gap.
Here's what's important:
Having Strategic Gaps doesn't mean you're failing.
Every leader has them.
Every team has them.
Every school has them.
High-performing leaders are simply willing to see those gaps clearly enough to do something about them.
So today's question isn't:
"Is my school successful?"
It's:
That's where strategy begins.
