Adoption Is Not Implementation

Boards approve policies. Leadership teams introduce systems. Schools purchase programs.
Then we sometimes assume implementation has happened.
But employees still need to understand:
- Why is this necessary?
- What specifically is changing?
- What does the new expectation look like?
- What is my responsibility?
- Where can I get help?
- How will accountability occur?
Signing an acknowledgment form does not guarantee understanding—and sending an email does not constitute training.
Good intentions adopt the policy. Intentional action equips people to follow it consistently.
